Our First Ever Family Portraits!!!
While we were in Chicago we had our family portraits taken by Marmelade Photography. We couldn’t be happier with the photos!!! Now for the hard task of picking which ones to print for the house

Kennedy is 10 months!
My sweet girl is 10 months now! It is hard to believe. I missed Kennedy’s 9 month update so this will cover two months. First off her stats. Basically she is a giant At her 9 month check up she was 29 3/4″ long (98%!!!) and weighed 20 lbs 15 oz (86%). That explains why she is blowing through clothes. She has already out grown some of her 18 month stuff which seems nuts to me. Caden on the other hand is still wearing some of his 18 month shorts! I’m just so glad she is a healthy solid baby. It is necessary for survival with a 3 yr old tornado of a brother.
The kids have started interacting more which I love! Kennedy just wants to be as close to Caden as she can. Often she practically tackles him (she only weighs about 8 lbs less!) Caden loves to teach her how to do things. He is a good big brother and she adores him.
Kennedy has two intelligible words, Dada and baba (bottle) and two signs (more and all done) but she carries on entire conversations in babble. She is incredibly vocal just chattering away. Lately she likes to talk to Adam on the phone. When she hears him over the speaker her little face lights up and she starts telling him all about it. She is starting to imitate us a lot. She grabs my phone and tries to hold it to her head and she tries to put her headbands on her head and mine. She has also learned to play patty cake and claps when she is excited or happy.
Her favorite toys right now are sticks (from the yard) and cars. Perhaps it is time to invest in some girl toys She loves to be outside in the grass and leaves and sticks make her very happy. She will get a big stick in her hand and bear crawl across the entire backyard (she she doesn’t have to touch the grass. It is pretty adorable to watch. She also loves to swing and go for walks. She gives kisses both to us and her dolls. She also loves this cheap little kaleidoscope we have because she can hear the beads inside go back and forth. She laughs her head off when she rides on the horse stuffed animal and gets swung around (mostly by Adam)
She is usually a very sweet good natured baby and a joy to be around! She started sleeping through the night at about 9 1/2 months only to get a really nasty stomach bug and forget everything she learned. My kids are tough cookies when it comes to sleep training or I just stink at it One day I’ll sleep…maybe…
I think this is what they mean by baby blues…

She loves the boat at the lake. The whole time we move she holds her little arms up like she is on a roller coaster and shrieks with glee! She had the same reaction in her stroller when we were walking around downtown Chicago in the wind
